Have you ever heard of Andre Rieu?

My wife and I recently saw him perform in Chicago. Before the concert even began, he and his orchestra marched in from the back of the theater. Immediately, the energy in the room changed. He wasn't performing for them as much as he was performing with them.

That got me thinking about presentations, meetings, and workshops. Too often, we talk to people when the real opportunity is to create something with them.

Most of us don't have a world-class orchestra behind us. But we do have the ability to make people feel included, engaged, and part of the experience.
